Harish Ojha
In Harish Ojha's paintings, indigenous nuances are quite apparent. Being brought up in rural India, he still finds himself attached to those Indigenous wooden toys of bright colours (mainly red and green). These invaluable treasures of his childhood are the main motifs of his Paintings. By adding these indigenous elements to his otherwise contemporary idiom, Harish revives folk imagery to merge it with his style. Harish has achieved a synthesis of traditional and modern, a unique perspective wherein his work floats between representational and abstract. Harish began his artistic endeavour at the University of Allahabad with a BFA in Painting and Mural Harish has been awarded the 58th National Award, New Dehli, 2017 and has participated widely in solo as well as group exhibitions all over India and abroad. His selected group shows abroad include the Lukin Art Fair by South Korea Gallery 2016, Jung Art Gallery South Korea, 2015 and a three-month residency programme in 2011.
