Art Houz Gallery Chennai, has organized the solo show of artist Vijay Pichumani titled – ‘By Nature’s Force: Veli Vetridamaakha Nagarkirathu’ at Lalit Kala Akademi Regional Centre. The exhibition features a diverse collection of prints, woodcuts, mixed-media works and sculptures that unveils how the artist transformed his experiences into visual narratives. Chief Guests Shri K.S.V.V. Prasad, Commissioner of Customs (Import), Mr. Pa. Ranjith, eminent film director and Mr. Rayan Ibrahim, Principal Architect, Rayan Ibrahim Architects inaugurated the exhibition, with Dr. Ashrafi S. Bhagat, an art historian, critic and curator and, Mr. Joe Malloori, Actor, writer and poet serving as the Guests of Honour.
“In this show, I will present works inspired by soil/nature. During my travels, I have gained valuable experiences. Each region I visit on my bike has its distinct colours. Each land embodies unique colours and cultures. Based on these, I have curated a series of paintings," says Pichumani
Art Houz, an art gallery in Chennai, presents “Kolvel”, a solo show by artist Vijay Pichumani. The body of work in the show is the artist's thoughts, experience and reflection of the pandemic and lockdowns.
This new book highlights the works of 50 sculptors from across the country. Interestingly, the sculptures featured in the book are currently displayed.
Fifty Indian sculptors come together to showcase their work across the medium of metal, wood, ceramic, paper clay and fibreglass.
In her works, Alamu interprets nature's beauty through intricate patterns and textures. She uses materials like fabric, thread, yarn, embroidery, and paint to create pieces that reflect her connection with the natural world.
