Metaphorical Tales- P Gnana
The collection of works in this exhibition Metaphorical Tales highlights the artist’s pursuit of pioneering new methods of expression built upon the foundations of traditional Indian aesthetics. His artworks display distinguishing elongated features indicating his magnitude of thinking concerning beauty, which offers a Westernized and modern touch.
Some of his artworks are the poignant and invincible timeless concept of mother and child which constantly reminds him of his mother, says Gnana. The cow in Gnana’s artwork is a metaphorical representation of motherhood, generosity, fertility and the origin of life that has emerged as a phenomenon through his memories of his childhood in Neyveli.
His sculptures rejuvenate in a world of constant change and fluctuating emotions giving form to the formless.
